Love Is In The Air
Things To Do
Ten years before Doug preached in a small town. My family went to that church and was very close with their family. Doug had a wife, Jodi, and two songs, Ethan and Caleb. They had to leave and move to Evansville and nobody really seen them again. Last summer at the end of May dad was setting on a park bench in front of Claires and noticed a man wearing a Evansville shirt. He was curious, since he worked at Evansville, to see if he worked at the same factory he did. When he looked up he noticed he looked familiar. Following after the mysterious man was a woman. Immediately my dad knew it was Jodi and Doug. They had their two sons with them, Ethan (17) and Caleb (13). Dad got mom’s attention and they all started talking and mom excused herself to go and get me who was shopping in Claires. When mom came in and told me I was so excited because I remembered Doug and Jodi, but not their two sons. I walked out of the store and noticed a very tall, handsome boy. I figured he was a senior in high school. When I walked up Jodi started talking to me and asked how old I was. I replied,“Fifteen.” When I finally found out how old Ethan and Caleb were I knew I wanted to make eye contact with Ethan. In the end we never did speak or even make eye contact like I wished, but that is okay. The rest of the vacation I thought about him. When I got home I looked him up on facebook and myspace and luckily he had a profile on facebook. I added him and looked everyday more then once to see if he had added me too. More days past and finally he added me. We had small chit chat but hadn’t really flirted yet. Then we started flirting like crazy and talked for 6 hours a night either on the internet or the phone. Six months later our relationship is still going strong and we try to see each other as much as possible. Since we live an hour apart. It is ironic how we both met and saw each other in a totally different state then which we lived and knew each other ten years before. I would’ve been a toddler. In the streets of Gatlinburg. I would’ve never known Ethan or even have thought of looking up his name on facebook and now having the best relationship ever. Now this spring break I am traveling up to Pigeon Forge and staying in a cabin with his family and mom and dad are driving down separately. We are all going to hang out like old times. If that isn’t love then I don’t know what is.
