Our First Family Vacation
Things To Do, Attractions, Nature and Outdoors
My husband and I have 3 children and lead very busy lives. It is very hard to find time to vacation so this year we decided to just drop everything and reconnect as a family. We chose the Great Smokey Mountains of Tenn. and Gatlinburg. We had the most incredible time. We stayed at Hidden Springs resort in a beautiful cabin on the side of a mountain. We could have just stayed and relaxed all week but the girls wanted to venture out so we drove into Gatlinburg and visited Ripley’s Aquarium and a few other places on the strip. The town itself is just amazing. The following day we got up early and drove to Cades Cove. The view is absolutely breath taking. We saw several deer, and black bear. The drive took a couple of hours and my children had such a great time that they never noticed. We got out of the car several times to walk and see the old cabins and each time the view was more spectacular. The last day we decided to hike up Grotto falls. It was absolutely amazing and we have the best family photos for our scrapbook. We have every intention of returning next year but will need two weeks instead of just one.
